Below is a picture of a chime page. The active molecular image is contained in the molecule frame. You can rotate, translate and zoom this image. The Chime quick reference button will pop up a menu explaining how to do these operations. The description frame contains text describing what you are looking at. When you open a Chime routine, the molecular database is transferred to your computer and the first view automatically loads - this may take a few minutes with some of the molecules on a 28.8 kbs modem, please be patient. Once the molecular database has been loaded on your computer, the other images will appear quickly. After looking at the first view, move on to subsequent views by scrolling down in the description frame to the next description and clicking the button for new molecule view. You can click on any view in any order. Above each description is a small image that can serve as a preview or to remind you what you have already seen.
