Exploring Structures at the Protein Data Bank (PDB)

 Lecture Notes | 462a Home

The PDB is the single international repository for the processing and distribution of 3-D macromolecular structure data primarily determined experimentally by X-ray crystallography and NMR. An excellent tutorial on the Nature of 3D Structural Data is available at this site. There is an interesting feature at the PDB called the molecule of the month. We are going to explore the features of Restriction Enzymes, as another way to become comfortable with using Chime to explore protein structure.
