Most molecular graphics/structures are being translated into a new program called Jmol that runs on most browsers, on both PC and Mac. Requirements for Jmol are listed on the Molecular Graphics link at left.

USE OF THE OLD MOLECULAR GRAPHICS PLUG-IN "CHIME":
In order to fully utilize these web pages, your computer must use Netscape version 4 (4.08, 4.7x, or 4.8x) as its browser, because Explorer does not support Java Script.  In addition, you need a molecular graphics plugin called Chime, which works on either a PC or a Mac (but NOT with Mac OS X). The version of Chime used in these graphics requires Netscape 4.08, 4.7x, or 4.8x; Netscape 6 and 7 do NOT work with this version of Chime, nor does Internet Explorer. You can download Netscape 4.7, for example, and just open that version for these notes; you can have more than one version of Netscape on your computer.) In order to view some of the animations you need the QuickTime movie player and the Shockwave plugins.  In order to print PDF files you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
