This script shows monomeric G-actin with ATP bound at the active site.
A Ca2+ is also bound at the active site. G-actin hydrolyzes ATP
ONLY during filament formation and NOT druing muscle
contraction.
This script illustrates the orientation in which ATP is bound to the protein.
Only the triphosphate moiety of ATP is sequestered in the active site.
