Work Assigment

"Metabolism in the News" is the focus of the honors section. The goal is to do a research project relating contemporary "newsworthy" research related to the subjects discussed in Biochemistry 462b. Students will choose topics after searching World Wide Web and popular press reports of new discoveries regarding the molecular mechanisms of metabolic systems and/or the molecular basis of metabolic diseases. Students will produce a scholarly research report in the form of a web document that includes links to biochemistry course materials, primary literature citations, pertinent web sites, and other information sources.
