General Meeting
5:00-6:00PM, "The Cave!" - We will be meeting at the tables right outside of where Burger King is at the Student Union at 4:45pm. Please be on time or let one of us know that you'll be a little late so we can help you find the location. You can email Alice at aferng@email.arizona.edu or Megan at megcraig@email.arizona.edu if you have any questions or want to exchange phone numbers. The Cave itself is located at the CCIT (http://iiewww.ccit.arizona.edu/uamap/staticLarge/73.html)

The Cave is an "environment combines 3D computer graphics, stereoscopic projection technology, acoustical tracking devices, and four-channel audio to create the illusion of being present in a virtual world. The reconfigurable projection walls allow users to view their virtual worlds in an intimate CAVE-like enclosure, a slightly larger immersive theater, or a very large flat vertical display. The environment also utilizes a multi-processor, high performance computing workstation capable of handling and displaying large datasets. The advanced projection and tracking system, along with the computing technology in AZ-LIVE, combine to create an environment in which a wide range of applications, models, and virtual worlds can be displayed and navigated interactively."

As one of the first BMB ambassadors, Theresa has been able to obtain a high level research position with only her Bachelor's degree! Currently she works for R&D and Legal & Compliance for a supplement/nutraceutical company. Previously, she worked for a pharmaceutical company as a chemist. She will be able to provide the club with an interesting perspective into the diversity of industry, and the transition from academia into the "work force."
