Herbert E. Carter Award in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics for Doctoral Students


HOW TO MAKE A DONATION TO THE HERBERT E. CARTER AWARD

Source/ Purpose: This award, given each year, recognizes outstanding performance for doctoral students who are completing the second year of their graduate studies. Students are selected for this award by the departmental graduate committee based on rotation grades and performance, preliminary examination performance, course grades, and recommendations.

Value: Amount Varies

Cycle: Annual

Eligibility: Any doctoral graduate student in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics who is completing his/her second year of graduate studies, has completed the required laboratory rotations, and has successfully passed the preliminary examination may apply for this award.

Selection process: Application form and all required attachments will be forwarded to the Awards Committee composed of two or three members of the BMB faculty.

Notification: All applicants will be notified of outcome by early May.
