Source/ Purpose: This award has been established for BMB doctoral graduate students showing excellence in research and/or departmental service. This award, given to a student each year, recognizes his/her excellence in publications and/or exceptional service to the Department. The recipient must have completed his/her oral examination and have advanced to candidacy. The recipient must not be in the final semester of the degree program.

Cycle: Annual
Eligibility: Any doctoral graduate student, working in the lab of a primary BMB faculty member, who has successfully completed his/her oral examination and has advanced to candidacy may apply. The applicant may not be in his/her final semester of the degree program.
Selection process: Application form and all required attachments will be forwarded to the BMB Awards Committee.
Notification: All applicants will be notified of outcome by April.
