Computing priorities
In hierarchical order: - Server down, classroom or public presentation not working, technical
support problem related to a publication or grant deadline
- Workstation down, mission critical software problem, other difficulties
that interfere with daily operations
- New hardware or software installation (I am available for, and
highly encourage, pre-purchase consultation for new hardware and
software)
- Consultations and training
- General maintenance
Resolution goals
Category 1: immediate response and resolution, if possible
Category 2: immediate response, resolution within 4 hours if possible
Category 3,4 and 5: response within 4 hours to schedule an appointment

If Biochemistry Computing staff is unavailable or you wish to begin
the resolution of your technical difficulties:
Network problems: If your network
connection stops working, call the CCIT network desk (621-7999).
They are responsible for all of the wall connections.
Hardware and/or software trouble:
