Southwest Research Station (SWRS) is owned and operated by the American Museum of Natural History and the station is located at 5400 feet elevation in the heart of the Chiricahua mountains, surrounded by oak-juniper-pinyon pine woodlands. Temperature is nice and cool. It is (about) a 2.5hrs drive from campus.

Posters

All attendees are encouraged to participate in the poster session. There are two poster sessions that are scheduled for the evening of Friday, October 3rd (Last Name A-H) and the morning of Saturday, October 4th (Last Name I-Z).

-Posters must fit in an area 4' x 4'.
-The mounting boards are 4' x 8', allowing two posters on each side of the boards.
-Push pins, mounting boards and easels will be provided. We will also provide basic supplies such as pens, pencils, scratch paper, scissors, Scotch tape, masking tape and staplers.
-Presenters should be at their posters during the entire presentation period.
-We request that each presenter bring one poster. If there are empty spaces after everyone has displayed their posters, you may put up a second poster.
-All posters from Friday night must be taken down by Saturday morning.

Stuff You Should Bring to the Retreat
 
   · Flashlight
   · Comfortable shoes (walking shoes and/or hiking boots)
   · Light/Medium weight jacket or sweater
   · Layered casual clothes
   · Sundries
   · Rain gear (just in case)
   · Poster or talk material
   · Stuff for fun: Games, Movie, Sports stuff, Binoculars, Cameras/Video, etc...
