These script files use a PDB file modified from one in the PDB; this file, called RecA2sub.pdb. , contains two adjacent subunits of RecA. It must be downloaded into the same directory as the scripts for the scripts to work.
Fig. 1a-c . This script shows the residues in the cleft that were mutated to Ala. It shows the molecules in the same orientation as in Fig. 1d. To generate the views in Fig. 1, enter rotate commands to give the various views:
rotate y -30 generates Fig. 1a
rotate y 30 generates Fig. 1b
rotate x -90 generates Fig. 1c
