Irene Alvarez, a senior in Chemistry, conducted research at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute in Bethesda, MD in the lab of Dr. Julie Donaldson.

Alex Barela, a senior in Molecular and Cellular Biology, participated in the Summer Research Training Program for MARC scholars through the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) in Bethesda, MD.

Nanibaa Garrison, a senior in Molecular and Cellular Biology, conducted research at the Pasteur Institute, Paris, France in the lab of Dr. Jean-Louis Guenet. This was made possible through the BRAVO! Program.

Linda Mobula, a junior in Biochemistry, conducted research at Johns Hopkins University in the Minority Summer Internship Program (Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine) in the lab of Landon S. King, MD.

Humberto Sirvent, a senior in Molecular and Cellular Biology, conducted research at the University of Notre Dame in the lab of Dr. Ploplis.
