Bioc 460 - Proteins and Metabolism
Course Description: Bioc 460 is a challenging one-semester, three unit course, for biological and physiological science, pharmacy, nutrition, and other students who require a chemically and physiologically-oriented general biochemistry course. The course covers many aspects of biochemistry including protein structure and function, carbohydrates and lipids, cellular metabolism, and metabolic relationships in the context of physiological systems. Bioc 460 is not open to Biochemistry majors.

Bioc 471a/571a - Applied Molecular Genetics
Course Description: Biochemical principles of contemporary molecular genetic methods and biotechnology using real-life examples in the form of laboratory practicums. The course is designed for advanced undergraduates and beginning graduate students who want to understand core concepts of molecular biotechnology, learn how to design molecular genetic experiments, and develop the necessary skills for interpreting experimental data. Class discussions and student presentations are an integral component of the course.
