If you are a current UA student interested in declaring Biochemistry as your major, please sign up for the mandatory New Major Meeting by emailing Rachel Miller (rahughes@u.arizona.edu) or Olivia A. Mendoza (omendoza@email.arizona.edu).
Include in the subject line: New Major Meeting.
In the text please include your full name, your student ID, your current major, class standing and which date you would like to attend. Some dates may fill up.

The Academic Advisor (Rachel Miller), advises students on:
- Faculty Advisor assignments
- General education and pre-major coursework
- Schedule/course planning
- Transfer evaluations, change or add majors and minors
- First and final stop for senior degree check
- Processing of all course substitutions and waives on computer once approved
- Interpretation and advice of policy and procedure for drop deadlines
- Signatures
The Faculty Advisors provide career/grad school advising, advice on independent study options and major coursework, and evaluate biochemistry coursework transfers. Students must meet with their faculty advisor after contacting the Academic Advisor to process their senior degree check.
The Program Coordinator (Olivia Mendoza), processes the Senior Thesis proposals, directed research and independent forms. She is the primary person to see about registering for Biochemistry courses that require departmental registration.
